<p>• Strengthens the arms and wrists<br />
• Tones the abdomen</p>
<p>The completed form of Chaturanga Dandasana is quite difficult to perform at first, until your arms, back, and legs are strong enough to support you. From Plank Pose, begin by lowering your knees to the floor and then, with an exhalation, lower your sternum to within an inch or two above the floor.</p>
<p>Step by Step</p>
<p>Perform Adho Mukha Svanasana, then Plank Pose. Firm your shoulder blades against your back ribs and press your tailbone toward your pubis.</p>
<p>With an exhalation slowly lower your torso and legs to a few inches above and parallel to the floor. There&#8217;s a tendency in this pose for the lower back to sway toward the floor and the tailbone to poke up toward the ceiling. Throughout your stay in this position, keep the tailbone firmly in place and the legs very active and turned slightly inward. Draw the pubis toward the navel.</p>
<p>Keep the space between the shoulder blades broad. Don&#8217;t let the elbows splay out to the sides; hold them in by the sides of the torso and push them back toward the heels. Press the bases of the index fingers firmly to the floor. Lift the top of the sternum and your head to look forward.</p>
<p>Chaturanga Dandasana is one of the positions in the Sun Salutation sequence. You can also practice this pose individually for anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds. Release with an exhalation. Either lay yourself lightly down onto the floor or push strongly back to Adho Mukha Svanasana, lifting through the top thighs and the tailbone.</p>

a 10 week course will then start on Tuesday the 6th of April</p>
<p>Jelly Belly Pilates classes are designed specifically for mums who are 6 weeks or more postcaesarean and are looking to increase core strength and stability, correct posture post pregnancy, improve body shape and muscle tone and as a result lose their jelly belly! It is also a good opportunity to connect with other mums who are going through the same experience.</p>
<p>This class covers the fundamental and basic levels of mat Pilates exercises, where considerations and adaptations are made to cater for the more sensitive tummy area minimising any pain or discomfort. The class also aims to help mums identify their core muscles, create better body awareness and form a good foundation for more intense levels of exercise later on.</p>
<p>Pre-crawling babies are welcome allowing mums to tend to their baby if need be and also for those who do not yet feel ready to separate from their newborn.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Konstantina Fyta attended the University of Rome Italy, graduating in 1988 with a degree in Physiotherapy and Neuro-Rehabilitation for disabled children. She has practised for more than 10 years in children’s Hospital and outpatient facilities and Health care centres in Rome Italy. Parallel to her career as physiotherapist Dr. Fyta obtained a master degree in Education with distinction in 1995 from “La Terza Universita” in Rome Italy.<br />
Upon graduating Dr. Fyta went to Canada to attend the Universite de Montreal Faculty of Education, in Quebec Canada where she received a Ph.D. in Psychopedagogy in 2007.<br />
In her search to be the very best Dr. Fyta has also gained additional diplomas in Psychomotricity, Verona, Italy and Fellowships from the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Health Sciences from the Universite de Montreal, in Quebec Canada. She is currently studying Herbal Medicine at the University of Westminster in London UK.<br />
Dr. Fyta has participated in various international congresses in Europe and Canada and published many articles.</p>
<p>Dr. Fyta specialises in Cellular and Molecular Nutrition, Health &#038; Wellness Education. With over 15 years experience as a health professional and 7 years as a doctor in education, Dr. Fyta provides nutritional and wellness counseling, follow-up and nutritional education for weight management within the cellular and molecular nutrition philosophy and NES health approach.<br />
Cellular and Molecular Nutrition, is not a simple diet or regime, but rather an innovative and highly personalized approach to weight management and health care. Within such approach, Dr. Fyta educates the clients on how to change their body shape by helping to find out his/her personal protein intake to best achieve short or long term goals. She provides support every step of the way. From a detailed consultation and study of the body composition analysis (BIA test), it is possible to reverse the effects of a poor diet and unhelpful choices by endorsing a healthier lifestyle and well-being. Due to the fact that the action of a cellular nutrition programme on body weight is multi-pronged, this makes it suitable for varied population groups and individuals. It has something to offer to everyone regardless of age or gender. The Cellular Nutrition approach is extremely effective and results can be noticed within one week period.</p>
